During lockdown we were keeping an eye open for outliers. Companies that were going above and beyond, adapting and being creative for the good of their customers.
One company that stands out is Z-Cam. You probably haven't heard of them, but because we make high end video resources for clients, we'd been aware of them for a while. They're a relatively new player in the cinema and virtual reality camera sector, and have brought solutions to market that have redefined the quality-price equation (in favour of customers). Their products punch way, way, way above their price tag, and are now used by the likes of the BBC and many big production companies.
During lockdown, they still managed to bring a new model to market, and they delighted their user-base by quickly developing the capabilities of their cameras for video conferencing. What they delivered in just a few weeks is what most of the established players take months if not years to release.
So I got in touch with them to see if their CEO would be open to an interview. He came back to me the same day, and that evening we were on our first call together. That's how responsive they are. Watch our interview, below, to learn more about what drives them and some of the things that enable their very speedy delivery despite lockdown.
Huge thanks to Kinson Loo, CEO of Z-Cam. We are big fans.
