Faced with having to deliver all your training online now?

Join us to explore how to make learning online more memorable, joyful, fun and impactful.

An exploration of ways to make virtual training more brain friendly

So many trainers and facilitators are now having to deliver all their learning experiences online now, with face to face training being off the menu due to COVID-19. Maybe this will change in the future, but in the long-term, it's very likely a higher percentage of training and development will stay online. Get ahead of the game by applying brain-friendly principles to your virtual training, making learning experiences more memorable, engaging and fun - with the key goal of adding more value back in the workplace.

If what we do also has a positive trickledown effect on education for all the youngsters and students currently restricted to online learning alone, so much the better.

A smorgasbord of learning

With a wide variety of sessions to choose from, feel free to attend whichever most appeal to you. Come to one, a few, or even all. It's totally up to you. You'll find all the sessions, dates and times below.

Please note all timings below are GMT. When you sign up using the link at the bottom of the page, you'll be able to see times for your time zone.

Beg, steal and borrow to get on this programme! It will have huge benefits to you, to your team and to your organisation.

Is it Expensive?

Right now the world of work and education is going through a huge upheaval, and the impact for all is very significant, particularly for youngsters and students facing having to complete their education online.

We don't want cost to be a barrier to learning: it is our dearest hope that what you learn with us on this conference will help brighten the lives of those you're in contact with during these challenging times so we're offering this opportunity at no cost to you. We hope too that some of the learning may also trickle into the worlds of school and university education, and be useful for educators and youngsters who are restricted to virtual learning because of COVID-19.

Of course, when you're looking for external support in the future, we'd love to be talking with you about how we can help. And, if you would like to make a donation to support our work, we'd be most grateful. However it's entirely optional.

Designing and Delivering Virtual Learning for Autistic People

My name is Lex Farndell and in this session I will be chatting to Rachel Birch from Scottish Autism. I've spent a great deal of time ensuring that my face to face workshops are as neurofriendly as possible but have recently began to chat to some autistic/neurodiverse people about their on-line experiences of learning, tying to gain a feel for how that's working out for them.

Rachel is a Services Manager who looks after a large team of people providing direct care and support to autistic people in Scotland, she is also autistic herself. Rachel has been speaking to others in the autistic community about managing life and work under the spotlight of a camera, and she's also taken part in quite a few pieces of development online, so has some really useful insight to share. We will have a facilitated Q&A where we can answer and of your questions or hear your thoughts.

Adding Impact to Virtual Presentations and Training

Presenting and training on virtual platforms has numerous challenges for both the trainer and participants alike. It takes more energy and focus from both parties as many of the usual non-verbal signals are missing or diminished.

This session will show how to adjust your way of working to suit the  virtual medium. You will learn how to  adapt your style and methods in to keep participants engaged in the learning process and ensure they enjoy the experience.
